The leading Finnish minerals and process technology company Metso will establish a next generation Metso Business Services center in Vilnius. The center is expected to open during the fourth quarter of 2019. Initially, the center will employ some tens of persons, but the number of personnel is expected to grow over the coming years.
Metso is a financially solid, results-driven global industrial company with its own operations in more than 50 countries and market leading positions in its product fields. As a company, it places strong focus on sustainability, employee safety and well-being, customer centricity, innovation and digitalization. Metso has chosen Vilnius as the location for its next-generation Metso Business Services center because of its strong service center culture supporting international companies. The center will be a key location for Metso, helping to develop the company’s processes with modern technology like robotic process automation and artificial intelligence. “The best location for the new service center turned out to be Vilnius, which has a strong service center culture supporting international companies. With this new center we aim to improve the efficiency of our business services and increase digitalization to support Metso’s growth”, says Eeva Sipilä, CFO of Metso Corporation. “The number of Scandinavian companies that have established service centers in Lithuania has grown very fast and successfully. We are happy to welcome Metso to join our pool of shared service centers in Vilnius,” says Virginijus Sinkevičius, Minister of Economy of Republic of Lithuania states. The recruitment process for the Metso Business Services Center has already begun in Vilnius. Metso is looking to recruit a wide range of finance professionals, said Ilkka Metsola, Director, Metso Shared Services, Metso Corporation. The new multifunctional center will start with finance processes, later followed by logistics. The aim is to centralize the related services to gain the benefits of process harmonization, standardization and digitalization. Comments are closed.
