IBA Poland opens Warsaw office

On August 4, IBA Poland, a development center of IBA Group, announced the opening of a new office in Warsaw, the capital of Poland. The Warsaw office serves as an extension of IBA Poland’s development center located in Wroclaw, one of the three major IT hubs of Poland.

The IT system integrator invests EUR 6.7 million and plans to hire 70 new colleagues.
Established twenty years ago in Belgium, Delaware is now a truly global system integrator that provides consultancy services and delivers advanced IT solutions in 19 countries. The company set up shop in Hungary in 2015 when the Budapest office was opened that focuses on logistics, public utilities and manufacturing. Delaware now has announced to expand its local operation by establishing its second office in Debrecen. Thanks to the EUR 6.7 million investment 70 new jobs can be created. The company aims to modernize the processes of its customers and provide continuous support, ensuring them to acquire and maintain a leading market position. Part of the reason why they picked Debrecen in particular was that Delaware could identify shared values with the municipality. On the other hand, they strive to find and recruit the best talent the region has to offer, thus contributing to creating new international opportunities. German software group SAP has opened in Bucharest an SAP Labs Site, a digital innovation hub that is meant to contribute to expanding the company's portfolio of products and services.
The Bucharest hub is part of the global R&D network SAP Labs Network, which oversees the company's engineering activities. The network has 21 R&D centers in 17 countries, including Germany, the United States, India, China, and Brazil. Each location targets different areas, such as AI, cloud computing, or process automation, among others. More than 40,000 people are employed in the network. "The new SAP Labs Site in Bucharest is an important support for the operations of SAP Romania and will consolidate our expertise and market presence through the growth and development of local talent," said Diana David, managing director of SAP Romania. Norwegian Archer, a global company focused on providing gas and drilling services, as well as handling the clients from oil and gas sector, is opening an engineering office in Gdansk. It will employ 150 engineers who will take part in the development of all the tycoon’s global projects.
Archer has been active in the oil and gas market for more than 40 years. The company currently employs more than 4,500 people in 40 countries around the world. Archer currently secures the engineering side of wells at 35 offshore locations in the North Sea and Atlantic and more than 65 onshore wells in South America. Major clients remain companies such as Equinor, Aker BP and Repsol. Archer’s services cover the entire well completion process – from surface imaging, new well construction to well servicing and, finally, post production quenching and protection. Ambitious plans The Gdansk office will support operations in Europe, North and South America and the Pacific, as well as developing projects in the Middle East and West Africa. The choice of location is not accidental and the company has high hopes for the Polish office: – We are pleased to present our new office – says Piotr Hinczewski, Managing Director and Member of the Board, Archer Poland. – The new premises provide a better working environment for our employees and offer a modern and professional environment to serve our clients. We also expect to attract new talent to the company as we continue to grow and expand our business – adds Piotr Hinczewski. Archer’s Gdansk branch is located in the Alchemia complex in Oliwa. Ultimately, 150 engineers will work in the Gdansk office, specialising in various disciplines: piping design, structural design, calculations, E&I, processing, safety and many others. The distribution of vacancies is planned over a three-year period. It will be the company’s largest engineering office. – We are constantly experiencing a demand for talented engineers. With our new headquarters in Gdansk, we are now equipped to ensure further growth and thus meet the needs of an expanding market – adds Martin Nilsen, Manager Business Development Engineering Global. Significantly, Archer is also already entering the renewable energy market. The company recently purchased a 50% stake in Island Drilling Company with a strategy to develop its geothermal drilling business. In turn, the ambition of the Gdansk office for the next few years will be to expand its services and also serve the offshore wind sector. Development of the offshore sector Archer is another company from the offshore sector, that has recently decided to open a branch in Gdansk. In September, a similar decision was made by Siemens Gamesa, which specializes in providing solutions for wind turbines. Both companies are supported in the relocation process and in terms of employer branding by Invest in Pomerania, a local government initiative coordinated by the Pomerania Development Agency that provides a wide range of services for FDI. – We firmly believe that the offshore industry, be it wind or oil & gas, alongside the automotive and electronics sectors, will soon be the most growth-oriented direction for Pomeranian industry. The presence of corporations such as Archer represents a development opportunity for the entire region. We know that we have a highly competent workforce, which is currently a key competitive advantage in terms of location choice by foreign investors. On July 26, in Rzeszów, Sherwin-Williams held its opening ceremony of its new office.
Sherwin-Williams is the leader in the US sector of paints, industrial varnishes and coating products. The ceremony was attended by representatives of the Management Board of Sherwin-Williams from the United States, as well as the authorities of the city of Rzeszów. The new Sherwin-Williams Shared Service is located in the SkyRes Warszawska office building. In the first phase of operation and development in Rzeszów, the company plans to hire 100 employees. The Rzeszów Branch will support the company's operations on the American market in the implementation of a wide range of business processes. Sherwin-Williams operates globally with numerous factories and distribution centers around the world. The company was founded in Cleveland, USA in 1866. It produces top-class products for the aerospace, automotive and shipbuilding industries, and has specialized series of products dedicated to the general heavy industry, the wood industry and the packaging industry. Safran Aircraft Engines announced in May its opening of a new research and development center in Rzeszow in Poland.
This new R&D Center will be used to develop new architectures and new components for aircraft engines. ✈️ “Establishing the new Research and Development Center is yet another developmental milestone for Safran Aircraft Engines Poland. We are building a center of modern technological thought, and it will allow us to support the innovation effort made by Safran.
