A Series of C-Level meetings and workshops
between
Global BSC/GBS/Tech investors and Site Directors in select CEE cities.
(aka "BSC Directors VIP Wine Tastings")
Locations in 2024 (tbc):
Gdansk, Katowice, Krakow, Rzeszow, Warsaw, Budapest, Bucharest, and ... Izmir
Concept:
These niche, Invitation-only events are focused on the GBS/Business Services sectors, as well as the fast-growing advanced IT & technology sectors.
While most of the very-largest companies in western Europe, US and Scandinavia have long-embraced digital-transformation and the “Shared Services concept”, the opportunities for mid-sized companies – and fast-growing new companies - to transform their operations and boost their margins are significant.
Various markets across Central Eastern Europe offer world-class human resources at competitive prices. The region offers top access to European languages and other business-services (as well as a cultural level-of-comfort for US and European companies). And beyond core-CEE are markets like Turkey and Egypt with unique advantages in terms of people and prices.
What do we expect from these niche-events? This event will introduce the local ecosystem; and Investors-companies to BSC leaders in the City. We expect Investment deals and operating alliances to be seeded and completed.
Who will attend?
We are capping the total number of attendees to 50 per city – in line with our focus on niche events for C-level execs only.
“Matching Markets”:
In each city, we'll match an Investor-country, with the local City. For example, if the City of Krakow is keen to showcase itself and meet more Swiss investors, we'll proactively invite C-level execs from Swiss companies to attend the event.
Format of the Workshop:
13:00 Registration and Welcome
13:45 – 14:00 Opening Comments from Organizer and Partners
14:00 – 14:45 “Build it or Buy It?”: Examining the Advantages and Disadvantages of setting-up a “Captive” services centre versus Partnering with Services Providers.
14:45 – 15:15 A Brief Overview of the City's “Eco-system” (labor availability and salary expectations, local support from authorities, recruitment, infrastructure issues, role of university-corporate partnerships, etc.)
15:15 – 15:45 Coffee Break & Conversations
15:45 – 16:30 Panel (3) of existing companies operating Business Services Centres in CITY.
16:30 – 17:00 Fresh insights into digital transformation “best practices” at a global level.
17:00 – 17:20 Introducing 2 of the city's newest investors in BSC/Tech sector
17:20 – 17:30 Closing comments
17:45 – 21:00 Wine-Tasting Reception, VIP Networking Dinner & Conversations.
Dates: 6 Cities in 2024 (to be finalized)
