LEO Pharma, a leader in medical dermatology is starting a global business service center in Tricity. The center will initially focus on roles within the Global Supply Chain and Procurement. Through 2021 the intent is to further add services from Finance and HR reaching a team size of approximately 75 specialists within the four functions. As the center and functions mature LEO Pharma expects to further add to the teams through 2022 reaching a size of 100 employees.
LEO Pharma is looking towards gathering a majority of its global business support processes in Gdansk. The Global Business Service Center will gather several processes in one place and evaluate how to best possibly serve the LEO Pharma family – seen from a holistic and end-user perspective. “The aim is to optimize the digital user experience; enhance service across our internal business areas, while advancing the overall quality of our global business processes. We anticipate a future where LEO Pharma’s employees are enabled to focus on our core mission to advance dermatology and help people with skin diseases live fulfilling lives while our internal business services and support are delivered timely and with high quality,” says Klaas Venborg, Vice President, Global Business Service Center at LEO Pharma. When asked what made LEO Pharma choose the Tricity, he says, “We chose the Tricity because of its great access to talent, impressive infrastructure, and modern office facilities. What we have experienced so far, is a very high and professional level of investor support provided by Invest in Pomerania, EY Poland, Alexander Mann Solutions, CBRE, and Skanska, who went above and beyond to show us the best the region had to offer within tight deadlines”. LEO Pharma’s state-of-the-art office in Tricity will be centrally located at the new Skanska Wave. The Global Business Service Center will become part of the LEO Pharma family as a business entity on its own, anchored in Global Finance & Business Services with a direct reporting line to the Chief Financial Officer of LEO Pharma. “We are always striving towards keeping the region on a sustainable growth path and the results speak for themselves. In recent years, Poland, especially Pomerania has become one of the biggest centers for modern business services outside of the Far East. It is with great pleasure that I welcome LEO Pharma to the Tricity and look forward to them settling in and growing their business in the region,” says Mieczysław Struk, Marshal of Pomerania. LEO Pharma is currently looking for talented people to join their Procurement, Order to Cash, and HR teams. The company plans to onboard their first employees in March 2021 and expect to grow by more than 75 team members in the first year, adding Finance and Accounting functions to the office. LEO Pharma already has an office in Warsaw, Poland employing 26 people. Comments are closed.
