The Hungarian Investment Promotion Agency (HIPA) has organized the Business Services Hungary Conference and Award Ceremony for the seventh time. This year again, a comprehensive survey with the participation of 78 companies was conducted among the business service centres (BSCs), the results of which were the focal point of the discussions. The event was hosted by HIPA in partnership with the BSS Platform of the American Chamber of Commerce in Hungary (AmCham) . This year the prestigious awards handed over at the event were granted to Diageo, Morgan Stanley and Alex Laffan - Tesco.

CENTER OF EXCELLENCE OF THE YEAR: Diageo
Based on the Business Services Hungary 2021 Survey and the results achieved in recent years, the company receiving the Centre of Excellence award has been continuously expanding its service portfolio, launched various new functions and brought additional high added-value services to Hungary. With its outstanding achievements, the company contributed to the development of the Hungarian BSC sector and increased the employment in the country.
BEST IN EDUCATIONAL COOPERATION: Morgan Stanley
Morgan Stanley places special emphasis on education in Hungary and has made significant efforts to promote cooperation between the BSC sector and educational institutions in Hungary. The winner has a long-established and constantly expanding collaboration with higher educational institutions and secondary schools throughout the country. Based on these initiatives, they provide various training programs related to business competences and business language skills for students in Hungary.
BSC MANAGER OF THE YEAR: Alex Laffan, Tesco
The BSC Manager of the Year is awarded to executives, who demonstrate professional excellence in their skills, exhibit ethical behaviour towards employees, promote cooperation between sector players and proactively contribute to the business services sector's future development. For this award, we also take into account the extension of headcount and service portfolio of the given BSC. This year's awardee has demonstrated true and innovative leadership and has promoted cooperation with partner organizations and companies working in the BSC sector which made a significant impact on the sector's future.

Tata Consultancy Services, Asia's top software development and service company, which has been present in Hungary for 20 years, will create 300 new jobs with typically high added-value in Financial Analysis, Market Research and IT areas over the next two years in Budapest.
Tata Consultancy Services (TCS) is the largest IT ventures of India, and at the same time Asia's leading software developer and service provider company, employing over 450,000 employees in nearly 50 countries around the world.

The first global Service Centre of TCS was established in 2004 in Budapest. A Digital Competence Centre was opened in January 2020, which, by creating 500 new jobs and focusing on digital transformation and complex technological solutions, carries out high value-added activities in IT and cognitive business processes.
The TCS centre in Budapest provides services to 10 industries and 60 priority clients. Operations are carried out in the centre in 33 languages by employees of 99 different nationalities.
The Hungarian Centre covers the entire spectrum of the service portfolio from cognitive business processes through IT Infrastructure to digital transformation services (cloud services, data analysis, artificial intelligence, automation, quality assurance).
The company employs a total of 2,700 well-trained engineers, programmers, developers and economists speaking foreign languages in their Budapest Service Centre.
